Welcome to the Malta London Scuba is offering the chance to experience some great diving and hospitality in Malta with our colleagues from Divewise malta ( Malta's leading PADI centre) based in St Julians in the north of the island. The dive centre has its own house reef right in front of the centre and a superb confined Open water training area as well as a pool.

St Julians Initially a fishing village, later turned to a summer residence for wealthy locals and now developed nto one of the Island's mostly fetched  resorts.The small bay still shelters numerous coloured Maltese boats that are berthed here all year long. St Julians derives it's name from the Patron Saint of hunters.St Julians is a village for all ages and walks of life.

Eating out: Cuisine is influenced by the people who made their home here over the centuries, from the Arabs,Italians and Spanish to the French and British.  Traditional Maltese cooking has distinct touches of the Sicilian and Moorish.  Look out for rich sweets, pastries and deserts of ricotta, almonds and figs as well as tomato and wine sauces with pasta, rabbit and fish.Restaurant menus follow the seasons using the best of available fare: from tomatoes, zucchini, herbs and olives to fish like "lampuki", a national favourite, swordfish and tuna. International cuisine is available everywhere.  Most restaurants are influenced by Italian or French cuisine, but there are plenty specialising in Oriental, Tex Mex and other themes. In true Mediterranean style, children are welcome everywhere. NB London scuba customers diving at Divewise can take advantage of up to 25% discounts at selected bars and restaurants in the area

Shopping: Lots to do for the non diver too. The brand new Bay Street Shopping centre in St Georges bay boasts fashionable retail outlets, family entertainment centre, restaurants and coffee shops

Diving

Malta is made up of three small islands (Malta, Comino and Gozo) which have a vast amount of dive sites to enjoy both by shore or by boat. Perfect for scuba diving and snorkelling holidays. Malta caters for all levels of diver. Offering warm, clear water ideal to try scuba for the first time or to start your scuba adventures with entry level PADI courses. With a variety of caves and wrecks for the more experienced diver or those wishing to pursue interests in technical diving. An abundance of Mediteranean aquatic life that can be seen on your dives include Octopus, squid, Morays, cuttle fish, Seahorses, Sea Hares, Starfish, Nudibranches, Torpedo and Electric Rays, Stone fish, Groupers, Tuna, Baraccuda, John Dory's, Scorpion fish and many more...

Our colleages at Divewise are keen to make all aspects of your trip enjoyable. Diving itineraries can be flexible, as the whole island and surrounding islands are easiliy accessible so we will try to accomodate your requests wherever possible.

• Tranfers are organised by Divewise at a cost of €10pp (this applies to flights arriving before 2100. For late flight arrivals a taxi wiil be organised for transfer to hotel. cost €21)
• Equipment hire if needed is hired at Divewise for €12 per day(Cylinder/weights inc)
• Extra dives are charged at €35 per dive
• A wide variety of accomodation to suit all budgets. Most only a stones throw from the divecentre

Accomodation  London Scuba organised trips (below) will be based at the Alexandra Hotel although other hotels can be available with a supplement. We can however custom  specific dive packages to suit your needs.
