Water may cover seven tenths of the Earths surface, but if it weren't for exposure suits, diving would be limited to a relatively narrow band straddling the equator. That would
indeed be unfortunate as some of the best diving lies well north and south of the tropical waters and also in lakes, at altitude and at deeper depths that constantly remain
cool. Without protection from the cold, some of the best diving would be inaccessible.
Of the exposure suit types available, the dry suit has opened the door to comfortable diving in the coolest waters.

In many regions, adding a dry suit to your equipment increases the number of dive sites you can comfortably dive
and extends the diving season into the cooler months and open up the possibility of year round diving in the UK.
While the dry suit offers the most warmth, it does require you to learn special techniques not needed with other
exposure suit.
From experience, we have found that the only way to dive in a suit that is comfortable, functional and most
importantly doesn't leak is to have your own. For this reason we strongly recommend that you supply your own
suit to do the course.
